Margarita Astrálaga, Former Director of the Environment, Climate, Gender and Social Inclusion Division at IFAD (international Fund for Agriculture Development), is a Colombian biologist and Regional planner who has worked more than 40 years with Government agencies, NGOs and international organizations. She has lived in Denmark, Scotland, Kenya, Switzerland, Spain, Panama and Italy, and now spends her time between the south of Portugal, the south of Spain, and Switzerland. Her mission in life is to contribute to inclusive and better development, ensuring environmental sustainability, providing fairer opportunities to women and youth in the developing world. She’s an independent advisor and consultant who supports pro-bono several institutions, such as the Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network and other international and non governmental organizations
