The piece that forms part of the collection of the Museum of Art (MUSA) was not named by the artist. In it appears a female bust, dominating the center of the painting. The surface is divided into geometric planes, and the figure in the background is separated by distinguishing the shades of color. The segmentation of the shapes, derived from analytical cubism, gives the composition a structured support based on intertwining lines that define the bright chromatic areas. Medina Moreno used rich shades, which he applied arbitrarily, without correspondence to nature, based on aesthetics and the painting’s composition.
