Chen Guizhi was born in 1939 in Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province. He is member of China Watercolor Society. After graduating from the Department of Arts and Crafts of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1962, he remained as a professor in the Academy. "Chen Guizhi Watercolor Flower Works Exhibition" was held in the Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum in 1993 and "Chen Guizhi Watercolor Painting Exhibition" was held in Singapore in 1994. In 2010, an exhibition of Chen Guizhi's watercolor works was held at the Chinese Art Museum. He published "Chinese Watercolor Painters Series: Chen Guizhi Watercolor Paintings Collection".
