Having established himself early on as one of Norway's leading stencil artists with a career spanning back to 2003, Dolk has made waves with his contrasting, abstract buff project and his aim to paint 100 walls in 50 cities. In 2015 Dolk visited Stavanger as part of his buff project's body, leaving out-of-reach abstract markings on walls around the city. While reminiscent of what it looks like when another party paints over graffiti, there is a conceptual continuation of the visual left behind by his hand. Dolk's commentary highlights the relationship between street art and censorship. This is also important when we consider the lines drawn globally between what is acceptable street art and what does not belong in the public realm.
