Edward Dutkiewicz was a self-taught artist best known for his use of bright colours and abstract forms. His collage pays homage to Henri Matisse’s paper cut-outs. Edward lived with Multiple Sclerosis and, like Matisse who was also a wheelchair user, Edward produced his late collages with the help of an assistant. Edward wanted to share joy and positivity through his colourful work. He loved working with younger people and made art in children's hospitals such as Great Ormond Street.
