Ever is one of the artists leading a new wave of Latin American muralism. His paintings explore social contradictions and the relationship between dreams and reality.

This portrait is of "Miguel", a Los Angeles crack dealer who Ever found whilst trawling through Google Images. Ever wanted to explore the relationship the public have with muralism through giving Miguel iconic status. The more he painted Miguel, the more recognisable the image became and the more important he appeared.
