This impressive artwork clearly reflects the characteristic content of Brazilian artist Rodrigo Branco's work. He creates faces that originate from his imagination. Branco, who hails from Sao Paulo, grew up surrounded by graffiti and street art in his neighborhood, which played a crucial role in inspiring his own art, which he began to express on walls. In addition to his studio work, his murals can be found all over the world, created during street art festivals. He allows his colorful portraits of city dwellers to gaze out at passersby, placing people and their emotions at the center of his work. In his collaboration with Austrian artist Ruin, he depicts a pensive male face against a pink background, with a lost gaze directed towards a park. The colors of the overall piece create a wonderful homogenous color and form composition that is pleasing to the eye, and the different motifs and stylistic components, such as the meticulously crafted fish structure with the hanging lantern, and the abstract forms, lines, and dots created by Ruin, contrasted with the loose, free brushstrokes of Branco, blend together wonderfully as a complete work of art.
