Wang Fuyang (1935-2008) is a Manchu from Dalian, Liaoning Province. He graduated from the Art Department of Lu Xun Academy of Literature in 1951. Since then, he has been engaged in art editing and cartoon creation of newspapers and magazines for more than 40 years. He was successively editors of Northeast Pictorial, Beijing Daily, Qinghai Daily and Qinghai Lake Literature Monthly, Vice-Chairman of Qinghai Branch of China Association of Fine Arts, Editorial Committee of Beijing Evening News and Director of Art Photography Department, Editor-in-Chief of China Cartoon, Vice-Chairman of Beijing Federation of Literature and Arts, and Chairman of Beijing Artists Association. Vice Director of Comic Arts Committee of China Association of Arts, Director of Beijing Artists Association. His main works are set color woodcut "Spring Lamb", printmaking "Growing Strongly", "Midnight Night Song", "Decades Like a Day", "Payment" and so on. He published the "Chinese Cartoonist Books - Wang Fuyang Volume", "Wang Fuyang Cartoon Selection", "China Cartoon Books - Wang Fuyang Volume", "Rite Cartoon", "Cartoon of the Emperor of China" and so on.
