This mural is a great example of how art history elements can be incorporated into contemporary street art. Inspired by the Art Nouveau aesthetic, the three crew members of the WEIRD Crew merge their individual styles to create a cohesive image. The female figure with a bird mask holds a key while a crocodile climbs up her back. A bird perches on her forearm, which she also pays attention to. The open chest refers to the heart in the woman's hands. Nychos from Austria is responsible for the anatomical figures, Frau Isa from Carinthia for the illustrative style, and Rookie the Weird for the elegant line work. Although their individual techniques are distinguishable, the work is a successful fusion of all three styles, and the use of Art Nouveau elements is particularly noteworthy. The artistic collective known as "The Weird" was established in 2011 and is comprised of a group of German and Austrian writers. Although each artist has their own distinctive painting style, they frequently collaborate to create striking pieces that prominently feature comic book-inspired characters. Through their character-focused approach, The Weird has garnered significant recognition and has collaborated with various companies, as well as showcasing their work in prominent magazines, festivals, and publications. Despite their individual locations, the group regularly convenes to excite the public with their unique murals.
