Details: The year 2013 was one of the busiest and most productive years of WOOL with the expansion to new geographies, seeking to answer the growing and challenging requests made by companies, cultural associations, municipal or private entities.
We went to Abrantes, where we joined the group of “artists” invited to the 2nd edition of 180 Creative Camp from Canal 180 . We took with us two Portuguese street artists, CORLEONE and SAMINA, in an attempt to reveal and portray two different artistic courses, academic backgrounds, techniques, languages and styles, a feature of this universe of Street Art. For 7 days and with more than 50 field artists we carried out two workshops: one of “stencil cutting” and another of illustration..
At the 180 creative camp, we also gave a talk about the WOOL… our goals, our actions and talked and answered a lot of questions about street art, in generally and how it exists and is treated in Lisbon, Oporto, Covilhã and the other cities we have been working at. After that, we started the participatory mural, that is just a mural made by all the participants oft the camp. Where they have the opportunity to try all techniques and materials that street artists work with. After that, we paint all over it in white and just live a message to the city and citizens of Abrantes: TÃO POUCO TEMPO E TANT’ALENTO !
