Zhao Qi graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 1978. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and a member of the Chinese Painting Arts Committee of the Chinese Artists Association. Now he is a researcher of China National Academy of Painting and a professor of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. In 1996, he was recommended as the "Star of the Century" by the Chinese Federation of Literature. In April of the same year, the Chinese Federation of Literature and the Chinese Association of Fine Arts held the "Star of the Century Project of the Chinese Federation: Zhao Qi Painting Exhibition" at the Chinese Art Museum. In 2012, a symposium on "Meeting You: Zhao Qi Painting Exhibition" and Zhao Qi Painting Exhibition was held in Liaoning Museum. In 2014, a symposium on "This Land: Zhao Qi's Painting Exhibition" and Zhao Qi's Works Theory was held at the Chinese Art Museum. His representative works include Chinese painting "918", "Lovely China", "Ah Great Wall", "Jingyu Inmortality", "Reunion of Chinese painting", "Living People-1885 San Francisco Huang Zunxian and Chinese Workers", "Beijing-Zhang Railway Zhan Tianyou and the People who Build it", "Crowds" (1991-1995), and "Ma Yo, You Slow Down" (1998), etc. Father's Huqin, Days of Labor (2002), Youth (2003), Puyi Exit Palace, Thirteen Years of the Republic of China (2009), China Daily - Land, North, Spring (2011), Spring Wind Brushing Face (2013).
