Zou Zongxu (1933-2010) graduated from the Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1955. He has been engaged in art editing for more than 30 years. He has been Vice President and Editor of Shaanxi People's Fine Arts Publishing House and Vice President of Shaanxi Association of Fine Arts. He edited and published a large number of New Year pictures, posters and various art books. Among them, "Chinese Loess" won the National Book Binding Art Excellent Works Award in 1980; Shimen Han Wei Thirteen Works won the Silver Prize for Chinese Excellent Art Books; Xi'an, the Millennium Ancient Capital, won the Best Book Award in Hong Kong and the Bronze Prize for Chinese Excellent Art Books; and "Chinese Sculptures of Past Dynasties and the Tombs of Qin Shihuang" won the Gold Prize for Chinese Excellent Art Books in 1991 and the Recommended Prize for National Book. He has held exhibitions in Xi'an, Beijing, Taiwan, Japan and Australia. His representative works include "Happy Anniversary", "Great Running of Agricultural Five Grain Festival", "Shandandan Blossom Red and Brilliant" and so on. The publications include "Chinese Sculptures of the Past Dynasties - Qin Terracotta Groups", "The Millennium Ancient Capital of Xi'an", "Luochuan Folk Art" and so on.
