This work dates from the period when Koga was painting dreamy, child-like pictures inspired by Swiss painter Paul Klee. It was especially the lyrical aspect of Klee’s style that Koga placed emphasis on. In this work, it is the combination of rather subdued blurry colors and child-like depictions of human figures and buildings that projects a distinctly lyrical mood.
