Born in Jiangsu province during 1968, Ji Dachun has come widely recognized for his use of extreme negative space. Graduating from the Central Academy of Fine Art in Beijing, his works isolate objects in ether of nothingness, countering a contemporary impulse toward collage and juxtaposition. Through nothingness, one can witness a thing in itself.
