Prabhakar Kolte’s paintings are characterized by his loose brush work and dripping paint that lends to it a certain freedom and vitality. The vivacity of this abstract works lies in the fact that it is reminiscent of green fields and with an impression or flash form a door that may have been left ajar. The handling of watercolour by Kolte is worth making a note of as he lends to a transparent medium an opacity by building up layers.
