Nicolas Robbio works mostly in drawing, though he considers himself an artist who deals with various languages and supports. Initially, his works drew upon a rich imaginary repertoire, though he gradually turned his attention toward the everyday, from which he now derives most of his inspiration. After graduating, he became obsessed with the idea of creating, at the very least, one drawing per day, an insistence which he considers an act of resistance. At the Made by... Feito por Brasileiros exhibition, his reference was a recent trip to Japan and how Japanese culture makes an art of control, the core principle of bonsai.
