A woodblock print by the Japanese artist Utagawa Kunisada I, also known as Toyokuni III (1786–1864) done in 1830. The print was published by Jôshûya Kinzô and is titled Ushiwakamaru, from the series Mirror of Great Names of Our Country. Minamoto no Yoshitsune, born Ushiwakamaru (c.1159-1189) was a military commander for the Minamoto clan and the half brother of Minamoto no Yoritomo (1147-1199) the first Shogun of Japan. He was killed during the Genpei War during the Battle of Koromo River.
