"Valentino", from the series "Luxe, Calme et Volupté"

The title of the series was taken from Baudelaire's famous poem "L’invitation au voyage" referring to the atmosphere of vanity and beauty evoked by the volumes. The work of great jewelry and fashion designers of the twentieth century is explored through drawings, sketches, projects and fascinating photographs. The volume dedicated to Valentino presents the designer's creations from the beginning of his career until the Eighties.
