There would not be enough space, in fact, for a photographic exhibition of all the black women from Rio Grande do Sul who stand out for their struggle, talent and beauty. They are all over the place. In schools, in hospitals, on stages, in the streets, in our homes. Each one of her, in its own way, tore down walls and removed stones that, historically, insist on staying in the way. They didn't give up, even when they said everything would go wrong. In this sense, Palácio Piratini pays a simple tribute to sixteen female personalities, from different generations, who are an example of the resistance of black women from Rio Grande do Sul. Contrary to all expectations of a racist and naive social structure, they led and played a leading role in their own HERstory.
