Chiapa de Corzo was the most important place in the Central Depression of Chiapas: its favorable location together with the Grijalva River allows the village to relate to different regions. This vessel was found in the Mound 5 that corresponds to a housing structure with different balconies and room; it was part of the most numerous offering found in this building with 212 pieces, most of them imported. This piece represents an anthropomorphous male figurine carrying a jug in the back and standing from the handle with the hands as if it were a cane, although it could be a planting stick. The handle is joined to ring-shape deposit on which the figurine stands.Dra. Federica Sodi MirandaColaboradores: Arqlgo. Hugo Herrera Torres Araceli Ruiz Peláez Mtro. Hugo García Capistran
