Jaguar effigy adapted to the shape of a vessel. Its proportions and format are similar to the jaguar heads represented as glyphs. In their aspect, in general terms, stands out the color and texture like that of a rock sculpture. The ceramics in gray color and fine paste cover a wide part of the coastline in Tabasco and Veracruz, even though this tradition extends to other regions in Mesoamerica. This animal is very important in Mayan plastic art and it has several representations. The jaguar was deified by Mayans as G III, one of the gods that constitute the Palenque Triad.
