This tapestry of the “verdure” type includes a garden with a castle in the background, a pergola and a variety of figures and animals. In the foreground are a man and woman who can be identified as Vertumnus and Pomona, the god and goddess of the seasons and of flowers, gardens and fruit.

The border includes grotesques, floral trophies and female figures of the Virtues, in addition to medallions with depictions of agricultural labours referring to the Seasons.
