"Santiago Rusiñol’s (Barcelona, 1861 - Aranjuez, 1931) glass collection aims to be a complete collection, and this is exactly what it is because after adding the group of pieces acquired from Alexandre de Riquer to examples made by the most important Hispanic and European manufacturers of the modern era and the significant content of pre-Roman, Roman and Islamic glass, the result is a real history of glass, not only because of the period it spans, but also due to the fact the collection is a good catalogue of the techniques and typologies used in different periods.
This is an example of an Andalusian glass jar from the 17th or 18th century, probably made in the village of Castril, in Granada."
