A stirrup spouted vessel with geometric pattern painted in red on white ground. It shows a step pattern which was very popular motif both in textile and pottery. Very few Mochica textiles have survived but idea about them can be understood through the numerous vessels depicting textle design and colour pattern. This kind of overlapping of patterns both in textile and ceramics was quite regular in Peruvian art. Here the white background enhances the beauty of red pattern very well. A lobster in geometric mode can be deciphered on the top of the vessel.
