FRENCH FELEET SCUTTLED IN TOULON.
When Hitler sent his armoured columns into the port
defence zone of Toulonm Admiral De Laborde gave the order
that the 73 warships of the French Fleet in the inner
harbour should be souttled. The Skippers and demolition
squads went & wn with their ships. The 23,000 ton battleship
"Strasbourg" and "Dunkerque" were among those scuttled.
