The Viceroy's Summer Palace in Prague's Stromovka Park was the first seat of the Slavonic Library. Its history began on Tuesday, November 4, 1924, when the first batch of Russian books, comprising approximately 12,000 volumes, was brought to the summer palace. The library was housed in the summer palace until 1929.
