An image of the face of the bat used by Victor Trumper in the 1902 Australian tour of England.
The text on the paper Appliqué reads:
"Inns of Court Hotel, Holburn, 14 Sept 1902, Dear Sirs, The bat I am forwarding you is the one selected at the beginning of our tour. I have made 1500 runs with it. It is perfectly balanced with as fine a handle and is altogether as good a bat as one could wish to have. Sincerely yours V. Trumper"
