This World Heritage Site, measuring 1708m wide and 108m high, is one of the three biggest waterfalls in the world. In 1855, missionary and explorer David Livingstone found this waterfall along the Zambezi River on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Mist that Thunders), its beauty captured his heart and he named it Victoria Falls for then British Queen Victoria.
