Te Papa

Te Papa

This hotel was in Jackson Street, Petone. The proprietor was Mr F Faber and he is probably one of the people posed in front of the building. The large-size negative has recorded a wealth of detail that can be seen in close up. Note the murder notice on the corner and patches of dog urine below it. The ramp leading to the doorway at left would have been used for rolling barrels of beer to the cellar. The rings on the centre two pillars are hitching rings for horses.
