Amongst the many Victorian wall paintings found in St Mary's, is this pair of colourful-winged angels. Their distinctive faces and the use of a repetitive floral pattern are typical of the Arts and Crafts movement, which looked back to an idealised version of simple Medieval life and drew inspiration from nature.
