Victory Banquet given by the Emperor for Distinguished Soldiers and Officers

This is the last of sixteen engravings from the series: The Pacification of the Western Regions (Pingding Xiyu zhantu) commissioned by the Qianlong emperor to celebrate his military consolidation of East Turkestan (today Xinjiang). The imperial procession is making its way towards a large ceremonial yurt, complete with a temporary throne, which is the focus of the heavily populated banquet scene.
