Video game:Action Max The Rescue of Pops Ghostly

Worlds of Wonder released the Action Max home video game console in 1987. All games are shooting-based and require both a light gun and a special sensor that attaches to the player's television set. The sensor flashes red whenever a target appears on the screen. The target itself also flashes red, and in order to earn points, the player must hit the target in sync with both sets of flashes. Only five games were released for the Action Max, all of which were in VHS tape format. The console itself had no way to play the games, so a player had to already own a VCR. The console boasted high-quality live-action graphics and enhanced sound through stereo headphones, but it did not prove overly popular, as the VHS medium meant a game played the exact same way every time. A sixth game was planned, but the system was discontinued before its release.
