First introduced in 1976, the Little Professor is an electronic educational toy designed to assist children 5 years and older with basic math problems-over 16,000 are programmed on each unit. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems can be set to one of four degrees of difficulty and appear on an LED display atop the handheld, battery-powered toy. Players are given several chances to answer each question, and at the end of a run of 10 questions the number of correctly answered questions is displayed. Texas Instruments has sold millions of these fun educational toys to children worldwide.
