Penny Arcade is an important taste maker in the world of video games. Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins, founders of Penny Arcade, launched their web-comic Penny Arcade in 1998, and since then it has become one of the cultural touchstones of the gaming world. The comic's main characters-Tycho and Gabe-comment on a wide variety of developments in the gaming world, mostly video games but also pen and paper games like Dungeons and Dragons. In 2003, Krahulik and Holkins founded a children's charity, Child's Play, that donates video games, toys, games, and other kids' products to children's hospitals. Penny Arcade also organizes PAX and PAX East, gaming conventions that attract tens of thousands of gamers annually.

This donation consists of a multi-dvd-overview of PAX, a Penny Arcade game, two t-shirts from the Child's Play charity, and an anniversary book that tells the history of Penny Arcade. They were donated to ICHEG by Penny Arcade after J.P. met with Robert Khoo, Penny Arcade's President of Operations and Business Development at GDC in 2010.
