The surface of the relief is unevenly preserved, with many parts retaining only outlines of the figures. It is composed of several panels depicting a single communal banquet involving no less than 141 participants. The orientation of the participants, most of whom are arranged in rows along registers, directs attention to the central panel where the ruler sits in the upper register on a high-backed throne.
