Albert Lebourg began his career as an architect but quickly decided to pursue landscape painting. After attending the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Lebourg taught at the art academy in Algiers for several years. Upon his return to France, the impressionist movement was in full swing, and Lebourg took up the style with a passion.
