The Hope Valley is situated in Derbyshire's Peak District National Park.

The Hope Valley includes the villages of Hope itself, of Castleton, with the hilltop Norman fort of Peveril Castle, the 'Plague Village' of Eyam and Edale, at the beginning or end (depending on your direction) of the famous walk, the Pennine Way.
