A man and a child carry the silkworm containers. On the left are two women, one with a round tray in her hands and the other carrying a fan. In the pavilion on the right, is a woman dressed in pink attire.
Such watercolours and gouaches were produced for the export market and were a kind of miniature illustrated postcards. These meticulously-illustrated depictions were mostly carried out by Cantonese artists from the late 18th to the mid-19th century.
