There were numerous Teams associated with succesful real time Mission Operations, just as there are today. Each of these teams were made up of individuals that served on the mission prior to launch in a variety of roles from Engineers working on Entry and Descent system design, to Computing and Programing Design, Lander Operations such as Soil Sampling, Orbiter and Lander Science, and from the Project Office at Langley Research Center.
