"This work is of Darío de Regoyos (Ribadeselles, Asturias, 1857 – Barcelona, 1913) a Spanish painter but temporally established in Belgium where he acquired his artistic technique influenced by painters like Théo Van Rysselberghe, which followed in his pointillist career. The desire to try a new technique as new as daring incited his to attempt this adventure.

In this image of a village of the Cantabrian coast, the streets, the beach and the sea that bathes it, Regoyos used the pointillist technique because he wanted to transmit an overall impression through the union of smalls color units, restless and lively particles."
