In the foreground of the painting we see the uneven relief of the observation point enclosed by a fence on Tauras Hill. To the right are farm buildings, and on the left there is a girl walking along a path, herding a she-goat and her young. Another she-goat is tied up near the fence. Beyond the fence lies the panorama of the city of Vilnius as seen from Tauras Hill, encompassing the view from Gediminas’ Hill and the Vilnius cathedral on the left to the Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit and the bell tower on the right.
