Photograph of a landscape patchwork sprawled around the place of Vila Pouca Grande, located on the right bank of the Seromenha stream, on the edge of which old windmills can be found. The village, set in the line of the peak of a hill bordering the place of Granjão, is crossed by a walled path along which the houses are distributed. The village is delimited by small plots of vines planted in post-phylloxera terraces bordered by olive trees, with some terraces used for orangery and vegetable cultivation. This polymorph of the landscape is accentuated by the maintenance of olive grove and forest areas. The small Quinta de Vila Pouca Grande stands out from the complex. Its wide terraces are connected by attached stairs, with an aligned central staircase. The walls feature a mixture of schist stones interspersed with granite blocks. The combination of these different types of stone results in polychrome wall cloths with a high scenic effect. The walls retain capped finials and recesses for draining the water, preventing its accumulation inside the wall. A mine embedded in the wall, with a false arch opening stands out.
