"Can not buy me love" was recorded on 29 January 1964 by The Beatles at the Pathé Marconi Studios in Paris. Paul McCartney (born 1942) articulated the attitude towards life of a misunderstood youth that, instead of material well-being, was in search of authentic feelings. With the release in March 1964, the song stormed to the top of the international charts. The single belongs to the museum's collection of around 4,000 sound carriers, which goes back to the beginnings of sound recording and contains music as well as text recordings such as speeches and public addresses.
