Ho excels in landscape painting. In this work, mountain rocks are modelled with dense texturing strokes. Strong light and dark contrasts are created with fluid ink washes. The void area is to represent the snow while ink patches are the forest. The pale mist and the drifting snow add to the tranquillity of the scene. The viewer is involuntarily drawn into the landscape, at once mysterious and poetic.
