Violin built in 1867 by António Joaquim Sanhudo, luthier from Porto who often worked under the guidance of the Portuguese violinist and composer Francisco de Sá Noronha (1820-1881). This instrument's model was awarded at an exhibition promoted by the Industrial Association of Porto in 1861. In the Museum's collection there are eleven instruments of the Sanhudo workshop, known for the quality of its work (2 cellos, 1 mandolin, 1 double bass and 7 violins, two of these commissioned by Sá Noronha).
