Visitors Look at a Diorama in the Lincoln Museum

Despite resistance to restoring Ford’s Theatre to its 1865 appearance, many visitors were disappointed by the Lincoln Museum’s location in what appeared to be an office building. The museum displayed a diorama and photographs of Ford’s Theatre and marked off the location of the stage with black lines, but many were still underwhelmed, eventually spurring a full restoration of the building.
