Fuentes de la Alcarria is located on a narrow stretch of land of the barren plateau of the Alcarria, surrounded by two deep valleys formed by the river Ungria and a tributary ravine. It has several mansions, both common and noble, along its calle mayor; the 16th century church of San Agustin, a pillory from the 16th century too, and the remains of the walls that surrounded the town, as well as the fortified entry gate on the western side.
