Vlașca costume

The shirt, pleated around the neck, does not have a collar; the collar pleats are edged with a red bar and supported by a band at the base. The ornamentation of the shirt follows the classic pattern of embroidery, crimp, festoons down the arm. A characteristic note is lent by the partitioning into squares of the streams in the embroidery, with each square representing an independent motif, usually positioned obliquely.
