"Panel painting bought to the antique dealer Josep Bardolet by the Doctor Jesus Pérez Rosales. The author seems to be from the Abadia studio. Juan de la Abadia and his son belong to the circle of painters from Aragon influenced by Jaume Huguet.
As gothic advances gold backgrounds were overshadowed by inside or outside spaces where scenes carried out. In this table the action has been placed in a landscape where the sea takes up a very important part of the work. Treatment of the landscape shows the attempt of giving depth despite they don’t respect sizes, besides a marked geometry, obviously also in the folds of the dresses that contrast with the naturalism of the faces."
