The artist is born in East Jawa, Indonesia. Being specialized in installation, FX Harsono creates artworks focusing on environmental issues or urbanization with everyday items or discarded materials. Finger signs signify "DEMOKRASI" or "Democracy" in Indonesian. The final letter is shown tied with rope, to emphasize the oppression of free voices by Indonesian government in contrast to its announced generosity. However, viewers are allowed to get a word of "democracy" by stamping on each stool.
